Statement from Autos Drive America on Reported Trade Deal with South Korea

WASHINGTON—Jennifer Safavian, CEO and President of Autos Drive America, today released the following statement in response to reports that President Trump and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung had reached an agreement on the details of a trade deal between the U.S. and South Korea:

“International automakers are encouraged by the reports of a finalized agreement with South Korea and look forward to learning more about the details. This agreement provides relief that will support the continued growth of our member companies in the United States, and we urge the United States to pursue similar agreements with other trading partners, including Canada and Mexico.”
