Statement from Autos Drive America on U.S.-China Trade Deal

WASHINGTONJennifer Safavian, CEO and President of Autos Drive America, today released the following statement in response to the U.S.-China trade deal reached last week:

“International automakers are leading the growth of the U.S. auto industry, with $124 billion invested in U.S. operations over the past six decades and more than 2.4 million jobs supported nationwide. We welcome the announcement of a new economic and trade deal between the United States and China, and we are pleased to see significant progress toward fostering a more stable environment for the entire U.S. automotive industry. We are grateful to the Trump administration for prioritizing the chip supply chain crisis that has threatened global automotive production and look forward to a continuing dialogue between the United States and China that fosters a strong and stable U.S. auto industry.”
