Toyota Kentucky Powers Up with New Solar Field

Toyota advanced its environmental sustainability efforts today with the launch of a new solar panel installation at its flagship manufacturing facility in Georgetown. The project was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that brought together plant leadership, team members and community partners.

The nearly thirty-acre solar field marks a significant step forward in Toyota’s journey to reduce its carbon footprint and transition to renewable energy sources. The system is expected to generate approximately 15 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually, enough to power 1,400 average U.S. homes for a year.
