Autos Drive America Statement on Mexico’s Request for a USMCA Dispute Settlement Panel

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Statement by Jennifer Safavian, President & CEO, Autos Drive America:

“Our members are committed to the long-term success of their North American manufacturing operations and their workforce.  We share the concerns outlined in Mexico’s dispute settlement challenge and urge an expeditious and fair resolution to the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) rules of origin interpretation to enable the U.S. market – and the entire North American trading block – to reap the full benefits of the agreement.  We support a resolution that recognizes the text, negotiating history, and intent of the agreement to ensure the future competitiveness of auto manufacturing in the North American region.”
