Statement on the Canadian Letter to Congressional Leadership on EV Tax Credit Proposals

“With Canada now raising concerns with the proposed House and Senate electric vehicles (EV) tax credit, this further demonstrates the short sightedness of these discriminatory union focused proposals.  If Congress passes one of these proposals, there will be a damaging ripple effect not only on American jobs, but on our relationships with our most important trading partners, just a year after the conclusion of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada-Agreement.  Congress needs to stop playing favorites and provide tax incentives for all EVs.”
