“The Biden Administration’s commitment to domestic battery production through federal funding will help boost electric vehicle production capacity in the U.S.
“In 2020, international automakers sold more than 465,000 new green vehicles, like battery electric vehicles (EVs), fuel cell vehicles, and hybrids, in the U.S. – accounting for 62% of the green vehicle market. “We appreciate the administration’s investment into key supply chains that will enable us to build the cars of the future, and we encourage the president and Congress to continue investing in ways to help Americans transition to a greener future.”
