“The entire U.S. auto industry is committed to bringing more fuel-efficient vehicles to consumers.  International automakers account for half of all new vehicle sales and manufacturing in the United States.  They continue to invest billions into their U.S. operations and American workforce to create a more robust green car market that includes electrifying their vehicle fleet.  The presence of international automakers at EPA’s announcement of new vehicle emissions standards could have been an opportunity to communicate the entire auto industry’s commitment.  As GHG sees no borders or vehicle brands, we urge President Biden and his administration to engage the efforts of all automakers.  We all stand ready to continue working with the administration on meeting these important policy goals.”
