Autos Drive America Statement Regarding Decision to Withhold Publication of Section 232 Auto Report

We are disappointed with today’s decision to withhold publication of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Section 232 auto report. We continue to believe that imported autos and auto parts do not threaten our national security, as demonstrated by the $88 billion in U.S. investments made by Autos Drive America companies over the past 60 years.  There is no compelling reason not to disclose this report to the public, or to restrict trade in an industry that supports the jobs of millions of Americans.
