Autos Drive America joins a coalition letter expressing concern over the United States Trade Representative’s (USTR) decision to withdraw support for proposed World Trade Organization (WTO) disciplines that protect cross-border data flows; prohibit data localization mandates; preclude discrimination against American-made digital products; and safeguard sensitive source code from forced disclosure mandates that enable malicious cyber activity.
Autos Drive America believes that the USTR’s position will put American companies and workers at a competitive disadvantage globally. We urge the Biden administration to reverse its decision.
