Autos Drive America Urges Dept. of Commerce and USTR to Engage in Robust Indo-Pacific Economic Framework

Autos Drive America recently called on the Department of Commerce and the Office of the United States Trade Representative to address digital economy disciplines, standards-setting coordination, and urges negotiations that will provide opportunities for U.S. made goods to access markets as part of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).

With the Indo-Pacific already accounting for $1.75 trillion in trade with the U.S. and 30% of U.S. goods and services exports, the region is poised to present significant export opportunities for American goods and services as 1.5 billion people in the region are projected to join the middle class.

Autos Drive America strongly supports deeper U.S. engagement in the dynamic Indo-Pacific region through a robust IPEF that achieves meaningful outcomes in breaking down trade barriers and establishing effective mechanisms for cooperation and coordination on the critical economic issues facing the nation. Read the full letter below.
